Our club PGA Professional Nick Barron started with us as a junior at the golf club and has now returned as Head Professional 30 years later!
During his time away Nick has developed a superb Coaching, Custom Fitting, and Golf Retail service. Nick offers expert golf coaching to Members and Visitors in his state of the art Indoor Golf Studio. This excellent facility also allows the professional team to help golfers find the correct equipment and provide a first class custom fitting service.
Nick is helping to Grow the Game and runs regular “Get into Golf “Coaching programmes, as well as a Junior Academy.

Andrew has been a member of Kendal Golf club for over 30 years and has worked in the Pro-Shop at Kendal Golf Club since 2012. Having played off a single figure handicap for most of his golfing life he is knowledgeable about the game, he loves chatting about different golfers and golf courses.
As well as general chit chat he is more than willing to give general golfing advice. Andrew also specialises in re-gripping clubs and general repairs.
Nick teaches players of all abilities. Lessons are available either individually or in groups. Whatever standard of golfer you are Nick will help you improve your game, which will make the game more enjoyable for you.

When purchasing a set of golf clubs it is important to get them custom fit for you, this is because not everyone is the same height, build, weight and certainly not everyone has the same swing.
Why Get Custom Fit For Golf Clubs?
If you want to play to the best of your ability then you should be custom fit for your golf clubs. The process of custom fitting is matching your clubs to your swing to achieve optimum performance.
A custom fit session should help you:
Hit the golf ball further
Hit the golf ball straighter
Hit the ball more consistently
If you are hitting the ball longer, straighter and more consistently then hopefully you will be able to enjoy your golf even more.
What Technology do we use for Custom Fitting?
To help with the custom fit process we use the latest technology in the form of FlightScope. This device picks up your club head speed, ball speed, spin rates and launch angles to workout which clubs suit your best.
We have Get into Golf Lessons starting in April, May, June and July
If you are looking at getting into golf, whether you have played golf before or not then the Get into Golf sessions at Kendal Golf Club are a great way to start playing golf and a great way to meet new people.
During the Get into Golf Sessions we progress through the following aspects of the game:
Putting – Short, Mid Length and Long Putts
Chipping – 7 Iron, 9 Iron and SW
Pitching with the PW
Full Swing with the 7 Iron
Driving with your driver
As well as learning the technical aspects of the game we will cover basic rules. If it is possible then in the last lesson we will try to get out onto the course and play some holes.
Clubs and golf balls will be provided during the lessons, however if you have your own you can bring these along with you on the day.

The Junior Coaching will be run by myself, Nick Barron, the PGA Professional at Kendal Golf Club.
I will be hosting regular coaching sessions on Tuesday nights for the younger ones and Saturday afternoons for the juniors who have obtained handicap and play in matched/competitions.
Tuesday Nights
Every Tuesday night from 4pm, I will host Junior Coaching sessions at Kendal Golf Club, which are open to anyone and everyone whether they are a member of the golf club or not. They do not need to have played golf at all before. There are a number of sessions for all ages and abilities split into groups depending on this and run every 45 minutes up until 7.30pm.
The first of these sessions will start on Tuesday 2nd April. The cost for these sessions is just £30 for 10 weeks coaching
If your child has never been to our junior coaching sessions before then please come along. Our coaching sessions are open to everyone so if you have any questions then please get in touch.
Saturday Afternoons
These sessions will run from 3pm and are for slightly more experienced juniors who have played in competitions/matches and have obtained a handicap. The first of these sessions will begin on Saturday 13th April.
