Initially there was no Captain of KEGGS, members taking it in turn to be the Captain for the day for the team matches.

Life membership was set at £1.00 and KEGGS had their own crest/logo based on the Serpentine design.

In July 2001 the General Committee of Kendal Golf Club acknowledged that KEGGS was recognised as part of Kendal Golf Club with notice board facilities and the granting of courtesy of the course to opponents from other clubs. Furthermore KEGGS fixtures were then incorporated into the Club’s fixture booklet each year.

For some 10 years now KEGGS has developed and expanded, having a Captain (normally elected for 2 years) and a vice-Captain, usually elected for the second term of the Captain’s tenure, together with a treasurer and secretary.

Membership is open to Kendal Gentlemen golfers who are aged 55 or over and new members will be made very welcome.

The Office Bearers for 2013 are Captain: Bill Broekhuizen, Treasurer: Barry Coates, Secretary: David Neil.

The team events for 2013 are given in the table below.
