Kendal Golf Club has a very friendly ladies section which comprises of approximately 70 members who regularly play in competitions. Our lady Captain for the 2019 season is Maggie Donald.

At Kendal we have a full competition schedule and many of our competitions are very generously sponsored by local businesses and also by officers of the club such as the Captain, President and Lady Captain. We have 3 tee times on Tuesdays – these are for the sole use of the ladies plus alternative days on Sundays – to enable working ladies to play. Throughout the year there are several Sundays when extra competitions are played. The Tuesday competitions are 18 holes but we also offer 9 hole competitions that run along side the existing competitions.

The section runs 3 knock-out competitions a year – singles, doubles and mixed. We also support 4 teams who play in league matches with clubs throughout Cumbria, North Lancashire and South West Yorkshire. Each year we enjoy friendly cup matches with local clubs Windermere and Appleby.

Kendal ladies have a wide range of handicaps from +1 to 36. We are very proud that a number of our ladies regularly play for the County and County Vets. Our junior section is also well supported by a pro-active pro and organisers.

We are always ready to welcome new girls to our club who will be invited to play in our comps when they receive their handicap. Please see the information on our Junior Page in connection to Academy Memberships available for both girls and boys. Whatever your handicap, or if you are still learning, you will be very warmly welcomed by the ladies of Kendal Golf Club.
