LADIES SECTION

Kendal Golf club has a very friendly ladies section comprising 67 playing members who regularly turn out to enjoy our fantastic views, welcoming club house and regular social events and ‘get togethers’.

At Kendal we are very lucky as many of our competitions are very generously sponsored by local businesses and also by officers of the club such as the Captain, President and Lady Captain

We have 3 tee times on Tuesdays – these are for the sole use of the ladies plus alternative days on Sundays – to enable working ladies to play. Throughout the year there are several Sundays when extra competitions are played.

The section runs 3 knock-out competitions a year  - singles, doubles and mixed. We also support 4 teams who play in league matches with clubs throughout Cumbria, North Lancashire and South West Yorkshire. Each year we enjoy friendly cup matches with local clubs Windermere and Appleby.

Kendal ladies have a wide range of handicaps from  5 to 36. We are very proud that one of our players is the current County Vets Champion and regularly plays for the County and County Vets.

Our junior section is also well supported by a pro-active pro and organisers. We are always ready to welcome new girls to our club who will be invited to play in our comps when they receive their handicap.
